Well..., i think , it is been a long day i don't post an article. Hahaha, you know, as a transfer student who has only 2 years to study, i have to concern about a number of assignments, homeworks, programs, and also lectures that all i couldn’t leave. If i had leaved those ones, i would not have passed my bachelor program at desirable moment (it makes sense :D). Well, enough for what the reason is.
Today Lets talk about a kind of English Proficiency Test.TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign language). you have known what it is , haven’t you?. well, it is okay if you never hear that one, i will point it out to you fellas.
As you know, TOEFL is a kind of English Proficiency Test which has 3 types. in this article, i am going to explain only 2 types of the test:

As you know, TOEFL is a kind of English Proficiency Test which has 3 types. in this article, i am going to explain only 2 types of the test:
Starting from the first one is Toefl Like (prediction), consist of 3 parts that are Listening, Stucture and written expression and reading. The test is often designed as a prediction for an Official Toefl ITP ®, so that means it would be easier , wouldn’t it ? (based on my understanding :D). The test is also for a person who has no experience to sit the official test and want to try a cheap one . However the sertificate which is resulted is only valid for 6 months after we taken the test, most of students who i’ve also known still choose the test because they are ordered by their college to take the certificate to complete the provisos of judicium. The test has 140 questions which must be answered by us atlhough we just have 55 minutes to answer the reading section, 25 minutes to answer the Stucture and written section and 30 - 40 minutes to answer the listening section. (How long the time is!.) Really ?, well.... I don't think so :D Haha.
The second one is TOEFL ITP ® (Institutional Testing Program). In fact ,its rules and its sections are the same as Toefl Like, but there are some differences among them. First of all the cost of the test is more exspensive than Toefl-like that is IDR 400.000 (in 3rd june 2015), second of all the validation of the certificate is for 2 years (it’s the longest time that we have as a result of both Toefl and IELTS ). And um, the questions is also more difficult to be answered than the first one (based on my understanding too :D).
Perhaps i can give you some advices about your choice based on my experience metting up a lot of people who took a same class (ELTI Toefl Preparation) with me and had a number of knowledges about student admission in master degree and job aplication over 4 months ago.
- If you want to get a job or to study on master degree in indonesian, you have to take a min Toefl ITP 450 .
- If you want to study abroad, you have to take Toefl IBT/ IELTS Academic module (The explanation on the next post :D).
- If you just want to test your proficiency in english which doesn’t spend your money a lots even FREE and to get a new experience with question a lots, you can take a Toefl like.
So you could take a good look at what you need and what you want, it depends on you fellas!.
In fact, what you extremely need is practice, practice , practice , practice, practice and so forth...!
Make sure you have known about yourself and be responsibility.
